PEIH-GEE
Written By: Michele Kevany
The final five entered camp, after Erik's ceremonial snuff
Denise pondered her choice to keep Fei Long's four intact
A final three guarantee from Zhan Hu wasn't good enough
That she had no such word with her allies was a scary fact
Denise feared it could be her "biggest mistake in the game"
As they lay in the shelter, she surely was riddled with doubt
That Erik was the nicest person alive, Courtney would claim
But for a million dollars, she had no problem voting him out
On day thirty four, Peih-Gee pondered her precarious position
In addition to being outnumbered, she felt summarily disliked
As the others slept, she collected treemail's latest submission
With arrows in hand, back to her slumbering mates she hiked
Peih-Gee awoke the sleepy foursome with a "rise and shine"
The message she read said they'll need take their "best shot"
For the survivors, a "one of a kind" experience was on the line
If they're neither "skilled" nor "popular", all could be for naught
Todd hoped he was both, as rewards help one "stay alive"
To the next challenge, a shrunken Hae Da Fung headed
Jeff greeted them, and in to the particulars he would dive
Into a "target wall", said he, arrows must be embedded
Twenty five colorful squares comprised the target wall
Five color-coded squares apiece displayed each name
Five color-coded arrows will be allotted to one and all
For their own name, each of their arrows must aim
"But, to make it more interesting", said their host Jeff
Secretly, they'll have to give all five of their arrows away
If they're unpopular, of a single arrow they may be bereft
Or, they could have a bounty of arrows with which to play
Using a replica of a devise dating back to the fourth century
From a "Chinese repeating crossbow", their arrows will fire
If they're skilled in the use of the ancient Chinese weaponry
That very night, upon the Great Wall of China, they will retire
To the "man-made wonder", by private jet, they'll be flown
After enjoying a "wonderful meal", they'll spend the night
To vases, behind the wall, one by one they were shown
They each distributed five arrows out of everyone's sight
Once the arrows were assigned, each was handed a vase
"Let's see the results", said Jeff, beginning with Peih-Gee
The contents of her vase put a sorrowful look on her face
For it contained one purple arrow, courtesy of Courtney
After thanking Courtney, Peih-Gee said, "I expected it"
For Todd, a grand total of six arrows would have to do
"At the bottom of the totem pole", Denise claimed to sit
After she removed from within her vase a total of two
From Courtney's vase, a dozen arrows will be flying
Whereas Amanda would be taking aim with only four
The player with the fewest arrows would first be vying
Peih-Gee fired off one purple arrow, but failed to score
After Denise's first arrow missed, her last was loaded
She scored one point, after hitting a square of green
Amanda loaded the first of the four arrows she toted
She fired, but to the ground her first shot would careen
For Denise, Amanda's next two shots put her at three
"Thanks, Amanda", an appreciative Denise would say
Amanda's fourth and final arrow filled no one with glee
She failed to score, after which it was Todd's turn to play
With a score of three, said Jeff, it was Denise who led
Todd approached the weapon with six arrows in hand
In rapid succession, Todd would hit five squares of red
Of the repeating Chinese crossbow, he had command
Jeff said it was as if he'd been firing one "his entire life"
"It's a secret hobby of mine", Todd humorously stated
Though his sixth arrow missed, with points he was rife
In the lead with a score of five, Todd was now situated
Courtney stepped forward, with twelve arrows in tow
After a miss, her second arrow put her on the board
After four more arrows had departed the crossbow
A point for Denise, Amanda and Todd did she afford
Denise scored twice more with arrows seven and eight
Along with Todd, Courtney placed Denise in a six/six tie
After arrows nine, ten and eleven, a tie was still their fate
With seven points apiece, Courtney let her final arrow fly
It soared to the board, and in the color green it would stick
"Denise wins reward!", said Jeff, as the battle was complete
As for company, Jeff informed Denise she could take her pick
Since she did the work, Courtney was Denise's choice to treat
When Jeff added, "I can't let you two go alone", it caused a stir
Peih-Gee reminded Denise of the Monks she'd been awarded
With Courtney, a most uneasy looking Denise would confer
To Peih-Gee, Denise preferred that strength not be accorded
Disregarding Peih-Gee's pleas, Denise put Todd on the plane
A dejected Amanda and Peih-Gee hiked back to Hae Da Fung
For Peih-Gee, having been ignored twice was a source of pain
"I'm still a person", said she, despite being on the bottom rung
As she struggled to build fire, Amanda was on the verge of tears
"Everything is so much work", said she, with frustration on display
Being left behind with Peih-Gee would only serve to feed her fears
"Three people are eating and I used to be one of them", she'd say
Later, in the shelter, Amanda and Peih-Gee had a conversation
Feeling Peih-Gee disliked her, Amanda decided to ask her why
That she did not dislike her, said Peih-Gee, without hesitation
Peih-Gee apologized for any hurt feelings from days gone by
Amanda said she was glad they finally had a chance to talk
Peih-Gee respected Amanda's willingness to clear the air
Later, the lone survivors went for a food scrounging walk
They were overjoyed to find some limes and a huge pear
Meanwhile, aboard a private jet, the reward winners flew
Denise expressed remorse for having left Peih-Gee behind
But given it's a game, said she, "what was I supposed to do?"
Neither Todd nor Courtney thought Denise had been unkind
They arrived at the Great Wall and were transfixed by the sight
Denise was in awe of the historical ground on which she stood
The three were led to where they would eat, and sleep the night
As they dined, it was clear they deemed the food less than good
Courtney saw Denise's choice of Todd as a strategic decision
That Amanda was the one back at camp caused nary a care
Whereas Todd was far more capable of stirring up derision
"An angry Todd is a bad Todd", Courtney would declare
At camp, Amanda and Peih-Gee were ready to celebrate
The fishing net had supplied them with a nice little feast
After cooking the fish with fruit, and a little wine, they ate
Consuming extra rice bothered the two not in the least
In darkness, Amanda and Peih-Gee discussed the game
Both agreed Denise had played the puppet from the start
Phei-Gee asked if she might write down a different name
That she was open to suggestion, Amanda would impart
Back at the Great Wall, Todd had Peih-Gee on the brain
Should Amanda go, were Peih-Gee to win Immunity?
That they all wished to stay, Courtney would explain
Were Amanda there, a different answer there may be
Denise asked whom they felt would get the jury's vote
That Todd and she were "meanies", Courtney stated
Todd said they'll make the end, being in the same boat
As one of Todd's fallen, Denise hoped not to be fated
On day thirty five, a boat returned the winning three
Upon disembarking, they found the camp deserted
A paranoid Todd wondered where they could be
Fear of the unknown had left Todd disconcerted
Shortly thereafter, Todd's nervousness was abated
From the water well, Peih-Gee and Amanda returned
Courtney and Todd stated their meal was complicated
Hearing complaints about a reward had Amanda burned
Denise informed Amanda a few nuts were brought back
A grateful Amanda said she'd remember the kind deed
They discussed ousting Todd as a new plan of attack
If at scoring a necklace, Peih-Gee should succeed
On day thirty six, treemail hinted at challenges past
Repeat performances, the battle will be demanding
At night's end, another will lose their bid to outlast
Before Jeff, the five survivors were soon standing
In four elimination rounds, they'll have to partake
If upon their neck, they wish to see immunity rest
For each, a coveted spot in the final four is at stake
Previous challenges will again put them to the test
In round one, three stars apiece they will be throwing
In round two, they'll each be given one baloot to chew
In round three, into a bin a bouncing ball must be going
In round four, they will have four ropes to chop through
Peih-Gee was up first, putting two points on the board
Denise followed, earning six points for three stars thrown
Three points by Amanda, and two by Courtney, were scored
Todd scored but one point, and his shot at immunity was blown
Peih-Gee, Denise, Amanda and Courtney faced down a baloot
Into three mouths, the partially gestated birds were crammed
As before, Denise could not get the baloot down the chute
For the gagging player, a million dollar baloot be damned
Peih-Gee, Amanda and Courtney finished their tasty treat
On to the third round, the three remaining would advance
Whereas next to Todd, an eliminated Denise took a seat
As for a shot at immunity, she no longer had a chance
Up an obstacle course they headed, with drum in hand
As the balls were bouncing, they moved at a steady pace
Into finish bins, Amanda and Peih-Gee's balls would land
Courtney was the third player to be eliminated from the race
In round four, Peih-Gee and Amanda would go head to head
The ropes securing four puzzle bundles were mightily struck
All the way to the puzzle's assembly, it was Amanda who led
That she was first to finish meant Peih-Gee was out of luck
"Amanda wins immunity!", said Jeff, and the jewelry was awarded
For her, having a guaranteed lock on the final four brought relief
Peih-Gee's chances for surviving may be thoroughly thwarted
As the time before Tribal Council commences would be brief
Back at camp, Amanda was congratulated for her victory
Peih-Gee, as well, was recognized for her tenacious try
For Todd, discovering less rice was disturbing to see
Aloud, and sarcastically, Todd would wonder why
Amanda resisted giving Todd a piece of her mind
Instead, she discussed ousting him with Denise
An ally in Peih-Gee the two would no doubt find
On her life, Peih-Gee was hoping for a new lease
Elsewhere, Courtney and Todd were conversing
Todd asked if Peih-Gee had been campaigning
Courtney said though no talk was dispersing
From talking to them, she might be refraining
Todd jokingly said "watch, I'll get blindsided"
He felt comfortable that his alliance held fast
He'd be "livid" were it to happen, he confided
But "big ups" he would offer, if it came to pass
To Tribal Council they headed, when night came
Jeff greeted them, but before the rite would begin
He called for five mates no longer playing the game
Jaime, Jean-Robert, Frosti, James and Erik filed in
With the reward challenge, and Denise, Jeff began
Regarding her choices, he asked she explain why
That Courtney get some food was Denise's plan
She also selected Todd, to fly high into the sky
Courtney said the reward food had been "confusing"
"But I'm negative Nancy", she almost proudly stated
Peih-Gee viewed her complaint as less than amusing
Since she's a "positive person", it left her frustrated
Jeff asked Amanda if a new perspective was gained
After the alone time Peih-Gee and she had shared
For Peih-Gee's ongoing fight, respect was attained
Amanda was impressed with how well she fared
Jeff asked Courtney about a deserving opponent
Versus an opponent who would be a snap to beat
Lasting thirty nine days, said she, was a testament
Who could ever say they did not deserve a final seat
For Peih-Gee, deserving is one who fought hard to stay
As opposed to the players who cheat, lie and back stab
Jeff asked Todd if he happened to see the game that way
Todd said whoever is least apt to win, he will gladly grab
With the questioning convened, the vote was taken
All but one appeared certain what the tally would be
She hoped not to be the twelfth survivor forsaken
The torch that Jeff snuffed belonged to Peih-Gee
